Welcome!

Thank you for taking the time to read about our pop-up gallery in rural Gloucestershire! We'd love you to visit soon or if you'd like to exhibit, please contact us as we're taking bookings for 2014.

At every exhibition we serve teas & home made cakes in our 1970s caravan using retro china to take you back to the 1950s, 60s and 70s!

We serve our tea in tea pots so you can linger a while....

A beautiful view over the River Severn and Coaley Peak, gorgeous cakes & art-
what more could you ask for?

another booking for gallery 21-22 September Paul Dingley: visions of the city

We are delighted that Paul has chosen to exhibit again at The Gallery at the End of the Lane.

This time his subject is "Visions of the City"

He works in 2 and 3D- sometimes wall art sometimes full sculpture. His use of colour and mixed media is vibrant, challenging and exciting, his visions are architectural, futuristic and imaginative.

Be transported to a future vision

(and eat cake... the caravan of retro teas will be available, of course!)

More opportunities to exhibit Jenner Museum Berkeley

I'm currently working on some projects at the Edward Jenner Museum to bring art and science together. In order to prepare for this, I am running short exhibition slots over the summer and autumn for artists who are interested in exhibiting in a large space, where visitors can sit, take a coffee and engage with art. This is a wonderful opportunity for those who don't really do 2D conventional art as there is space to exhibit larger sculpture and installations, as well as more conventional 2D art to hang on walls.

If you're interested please do contact me!

Exhibitions over next few months

We are delighted that a number of exhibitions will take place over the next few months- more information on each will be coming soon!

17-18 August Nicholas & Michael Jones

7-8 September Elaine Fisher
Abroad

Letters of kindness and taking care are hidden in found objects, representing the small and intimate gestures between friends Abroad.
The expression, ‘Abroad’, taken from Erica Van Horn’s Some more words for living locally, 2011, describes a sense of being out and about, away from home but not overseas.  In its insignificance, Abroad can be an overlooked and vulnerable place, but the kindness of friends ensures familiarity and a home away from home.

"When I use the word Abroad, I am thinking of far away places.  I am thinking of a place usually overseas.  I am thinking of a foreign place.  Here the expression is used freely to describe someone being out and about.  A farmer might be Abroad in the field.  Or someone might be Abroad in the yard.  They might just be Abroad, which suggests that they are somewhere other than at home, but definitely not overseas" Erica Van Horn, Some more words for living locally, 2011

Elaine's work is thought provoking, intelligent and subtle. Her work will look amazing in the gallery so don't miss this very exciting exhibition!

14 September Dani Jones
storytelling

The gallery, with its enclosed. cosy space, will make a fantastic place to be taken to a different world by Dani Jones, an artist and wordsmith of delicacy and persuasion.

new exhibitiions

We're planning on having at least another 2 exhibitions in the next couple of months. One will be an installation, and only suitable for adults (due to unpleasant nature of subject and language...) Hope that whets your appetite!

Of course bring your children along- they can always sit and eat cake in a good cause!

If you are interested in holding an exhibition in the future, please do contact us. We offer very reasonable rates and can also hire out the caravan for you to provide teas, or for me to do the work......

Hope to see you all very soon!
