Welcome!

Thank you for taking the time to read about our pop-up gallery in rural Gloucestershire! We'd love you to visit soon or if you'd like to exhibit, please contact us as we're taking bookings for 2014.

At every exhibition we serve teas & home made cakes in our 1970s caravan using retro china to take you back to the 1950s, 60s and 70s!

We serve our tea in tea pots so you can linger a while....

A beautiful view over the River Severn and Coaley Peak, gorgeous cakes & art-
what more could you ask for?

Looking for something a little different?

If you need to find that special card, gift, or just something to say you are thinking about someone, Zoe Heath's witty and exquisitely made art might be just what you're looking for.  All her pieces are unique: she uses mixed media, including collage, embossing, stamping, inks and paint, pens and fabric and paper scraps. She is always on the look out for new materials and techniques so her work subtly changes as she experiments.

So enjoy an afternoon overlooking the Cotswold Edge, over a cup of tea & homemade cake, take time choosing an original piece of art, and feel good that 10% is being donated to charity!

Zoe Heath- new exhibition

Zoe has brought her wonderful and witty art over so we can prepare it for the exhibition- so many beautiful pieces- trouble is I can't buy all of them! From delicate luggage tags to postcard size miniature worlds, they look brilliant!

To get all the choice from Zoe's creations so far, make sure you're there on 6th April, although I'm sure we'll have some more great work for you to see, when Zoe visits in person on 7th April, and let's hope she brings some just made pieces for us!

Preparing for Zoe Heath's exhibition

Have you ever thought about what it takes to organise even a small exhibition?

Find your artist, persuade them to take part, get them to create some pieces, advertising, posters, cakes for tea, clean the caravan, mount the art work, decide how to display, more posters, contact local media, go on Facebook and Twitter... etc etc

It's a slog but it's worth it!

first of all because it's great to give an artist the chance to exhibit

secondly because we're trying to raise money for a really good cause

So put the afternoons of 6-7 April in your diary and make sure you bring your readies to buy some gorgeous art and eat cake! Not a bad way to spend an afternoon....

the Shakespeare connection

"Fairies away! We shall chide downright if I longer stay"
Here is another example of Zoe Heath's work.
This piece will be for sale at the exhibition so make sure you bag it if you're a Shakespeare fan!
It is inspired by her love of one of her favourite Shakespearean plays, A Midsummer Night's Dream- it contains everything she loves: poetry, humour, magic and love.
As Zoe recently told me, she's in a bit of a "mushroom and toadstool mood" and that got her thinking about fairies (the fairy in this image is one recently purchased from Lavinia Stamps)..... and so it turned into a Midsummer Night's Dream (which Zoe is about to see a production of, so i guess the ideas floating around somewhere- don't you love the subconscious?)

Zoe recounted:

"The thing is though, I wasn't consciously thinking about making a MND piece. It started with the background, then I decided on using the fairy- and then the mushrooms and the MND theme just sort of developed!
"Never quite know what's going on in my mind, that's for sure...."

examples of Zoe's work

Here is another delightful example of Zoe's work.

Zoe is inspired by everything from the amazing plants in her beautiful garden (she is a very keen gardener), to getting ideas from a line of poetry, or just a colour or texture of one of the many materials she uses in her work.

This piece makes me laugh! When are any of us going to grow up? And in any case, we can all be artists if we chose to be. The naive style and wonky lettering make it kooky and cute but the message is loud and clear.
